Do You Remember When... Stories from the High Seas
We all have cruise stories...from that epic night in the club to hanging with new friends to the perfect cruise relationship (or hookup). Everyone comes back with stories, so I thought it would be nice to have a place to tell them. So let's hear your best adventures on the high seas.
*IMPORTANT* - Let's remember this is a TEEN forum, so let's try and keep it PG-13. Oh, and please nothing illegal, and if you're going to talk hook ups nothing too in depth either.
On behalf of Ryan (djcarolina) and myself, we would like to dedicate this thread to Katie (KTS1193).

This happened to me on my first cruise as a teen (Navigator '04).
My first cruise as a teen was on Navigator of the Seas. We were supposed to have visited St. Thomas, San Juan, and St. Maarten along with Nassau. The week we sailed also happened to coincide with hurricane Frances. It was also before Royal Caribbean initiated their rentacop/1am curfew movement.
The cruise started off just fine, we missed Nassau in order to be able to navigate the hurricane...fine by me, I'd been to Nassau before and I really had no problem skipping for a sea day. First night at the club was great too. Plenty of new friends all around.
Making a long story short, we ended up skipping St. Maarten as well, eventually docking in Antigua a day late. The captain was adamant on making St. Thomas too, which meant skipping San Juan (which I was really looking forward to at the time). After St. Thomas, we sailed for Port of Miami which ended up closing for two days thanks to the hurricane. Yes, that means my 7 day cruise became a 9 day cruise.
Looking back, I'll note that we spent 5 days at sea (insane thought for a non-transatlantic cruise). Ironically though, it was sunny and calm the entire ride. I consider this arguably my second best cruise. I have friends from that cruise I still talk to and keep in touch with (this summer marks 6 years). Cruise friends don't have to be just for a week.

On the first sea day of my first cruise, the inaugural season for Carnival Triumph, going out of NYC to Canada, all of a sudden the engines stopped and we were drifting without power for about an hour. The cruise director told us that they "test restarting the engines" every month, when everyone knew the engines stalled and left us adrift.
On Crown Princess, the cruise before mine was its listing incident. I was watching the news to see about a tornado that ripped half the roof off my high school (yes, a tornado in New York), when I saw the news article about the ship I was supposed to go on in two days, the ship had listed way over. We got on it 2 days late but the cruise sucked.
And a quick question for Mike, any particular reason for dedicating this thread?

Tim, funny story about the dedication, in short Ryan and I were chatting one night way back when, and the idea for the thread hit me, so as I was writing Ryan and I just thought it would be funny to dedicate it to Katie just for kicks. So, no there isn't really a serious reason why its dedicated.

Aside from the fact that over the last 3 years Katie has gone from cute, to good looking to HOT.

The "White Hot Party" night was one i prolly won't forget. We (me and my cruise friends) went in the "Spinnaker" after the teens had already been asked to leave. this was one of our more mischief nights. we were going to pour water on one of the guys that we met on the cruise because he was being an a$$ to alot of the teen girls... but anywayz! the tallest member of our group had a chef hat on (don't ask) and everyone else was trying to be sneaky and keep our presence in there on the DL.. but NO xD he had to see our Teen Director and wave like a mad man and say "HIII MENPHIS WE'RE RIGHT HERE!!!" so he motioned and mouthed to us "GET THE F*CK OUT!!" While wildly point towards the door.. soon security was on us. we ran like mad hell to the elevator.. we lost some people in the "scatter" attempt and finally got into an elevator.. we're pressing the 'close' button as fast as all hell and then we see this little old lady yowling at us to hold the elevator.. it was like something out of a cartoon... xD we were yelling at the elevator to CLOSEE!!! and the poor old lady with a walker was yelling at us to hold it!!

My first cruise was last july on the Brilliance Of The Seas. I met a group of 5 boys and 7 girls! One day, Me n one girl and one boy planked in the elevators, Watching peoples reactions of seeing us laying there! And we even told a newly married couple we were shocked and couldn't move, they got too freaked out that the left the elevators before they even reached the deck they wanted! We even hit high winds and ended up sneaking outside and running around! We almost got caught but went into the Optix a bit faster than the security could catch us! Hahaha I would do anything to go back <3
