How does one post as "Guest" ?

When I visit CM but do not log in, I look at a thread then click on reply to thread, I get a box that tells me to log in or create an account.

I have noticed quite a few "guest" posters.

If it is not possible to post as a guest, then I suspect there is a hole that spammers are manipulating.

If you find a post by "guest" I think you'll find, if you check the date of the post, that it's a very old post; a remnant of the old system.

Ahhh yes Kuki you are right. It seems some really old posts are resurrected...

I guess a subject becomes news or a new member does a search for a topic and replies to what they find, not noticing, as I failed to do, that they are quite old.

There are a few posts I have reported in the past that were old posts used by spammers but I haven't seen that happen in awhile.
