How to include a photo in your message

First of all, the photo has to already be on the Internet, not on your home computer.

The format is easy:


here is how you do the entire process:

The first step to adding an image to your message is to upload it to an Internet server. You can do this by creating your own photo gallery in the CruiseMates Photo Gallery. Then you can embed any full-size or thumbnail picture from your gallery in a message. The key to is find the Internet address (URL) for that specific picture and to create a link to it.

How to embed a picture in a forum message:

Step 1: Put mouse over pic, right-click, select "properties" (try it now!)




Step 2: use your mouse to high-light the URL properties




Step 3:right-click on mouse and select "copy"





Step 4: where you want to put the picture in your post - click the icon above your post that is a yellow box with mountains in it. It will ask for a URL (location of picture). PASTE in the URL you copied from your picture.



That is it. The picture above is not perfectly accurate but you get the idea - right-click on your mouse and select "paste" inside the "add picture" box that pops up.

I copied this from photobucket. They have four choices by each picture and u just click on each picture and pick which way u want to copy and paste. Thank you for your help. If I have pics on other websites I will try and use your tips.[img][/img]

Paul---I am having a problem setting up my CrusieMate Crusie Photo Gallery. I fill in the form and at the bottom I am ask for a "code" . I see no code, only a "red" X. What am I doing wrong? Thanks----Bill

I f you see a red X in the gallery it means your picture was not accepted. This happens if it is too big.

When we create the gallery in about 2000 we did not want a lot of huge picture files taking up our server space. Back then a 1 megapixel camera was common - now they are 10 or even 15-mehapixels. That is huge. One gallery could be almost 1 Gigabyte.

So, that is why we only allow smaller pictures.

I am first trying to get my id photo posted under my name. I can't figure out how to reduce the size of it down to 120 pixels.

I have Mozilla e-mail program, and it has a place to insert an image in and e-mail and reduce it by pixels, but this feature does not appear to work. I reduced it down to 35 megabits already by using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and right clicking on "send to" > "mail recipient",

then clicking on "make my pictures smaller" and "fits in small window"
but doing that still shows 347 x 480 as pixel size it appears.

Here is another way to attach pictures - using the "manage attachments feature below the "reply to thread" or "create new message" boxes.

See the thumbnails attached here - those show the four steps to uploading a picture.

1. first you click on "manage attachments"

2. Then you browse on your computer to find the picture you want to upload

3. Then you select the picture you want and you will see it in the "browse" window.

4. Click on the button that says "upload". You will then see the pictures attached as thumbnails. People can click on them to see the whole thing.

There are four attached thumbnails below that show this. Each attachment goes with the four steps above.

The good and attractive pictures can make an email perfect.You are send a picture in your message as a file attachment and as an insert.If u simply want to share your photos then use an attachment method.When u want to appear your photo in message body then use an Insert method.

If the photo is on the internet, you can simply copy the location or sometimes shortcut and then paste it in the message portion in the thread you want it to appear. Sometimes the hard part is finding the photo....It is simular to putting a pic in your avitar and you've changed that a few times...

It is much easier to just add it as an attachment, so that is what I will do.

Is 3 the maximum number of photos I can attach? When I tried to attach a fourth photo the upload failed.

If the forum does not have a post image app in it I use www.postimage.org. It is free and easy to use.
