being a solo traveller, and comfortable with that, I want to do a cruise, that almost doubles in price if I cannot find someone to cabin share! I am a busy Gran (child minder for working single daughter) have Hong Kong trip planned, but want to do Mediterainian cruise in sept 2013, or 2014, anyone interested in cabin share? I am an Australian female early 60's, would like a female late 50's to late 60's, to share. Looking at Royal Carabbean, Serinade of the seas, out of Barcelona, for 12 nights. I will keep an eye on this sight for replys

Hi Lorsin
May I suggest you post under Seeking Cruise Companion.
looks like a friend from another state here in Australia, wants to join me for my cruise, booking is through Vacations To Go,which is an American site, and only place who can get me on board in Sept 2013, anyone delt with them before to give me a review before I go ahead and book next week?
They are a large and respectable company. I have bought through them many times without problems.
Know thought that the prices they list are not automatically updated so you may see a sale and call and find the cheapest category is gone as the price is a few days old(call to verify).

Thanks for that info, have been e mailing with their rep Jacie, and had quotes, both as a single traveller, and again for twin share, just needed to know it was all on the level, before booking, hopefully next week.
I have just been told by a friend of a friend, that american travel agents are not allowed to sell too other countries? or at least not in the cruise area, anyone help me with that, have found an Aussie based company who can get me the cruise I want, but $265 Aust more, although to feel more comfortable about booking, may have to go with it! they also can up grade me to Balcony cabin for a couple of hundred more! So; lorsin's dream cruise would be as full on as I really want. What do others think?

First, don't listen to friends - often times, they get bad information, as is the case with your friend.
U.S. travel agents can sell to foreigners for certain cruise lines - not all, but most. I'm located in Washington, DC and actually have a large group of Australians booked on Carnival cruise because we got them a better rate than they would have gotten had they booked it locally. So it really does depend on the cruise line and, as we all know, not all cruise lines are created equal.
Also, if space is available, then any agent can sell it. The only time that would not be true is if the agent has some group space and has not sold all the cabins.

Hi,
I am planning a cruise 11 day Holland American (Rome-Barcelona) departing June 8.
Seek a cruise mate to share cabin. I am 60 y o female, work in special education, active, laid back, etc.
Interested? I've been trying to get some interest with a couple of travel groups that I'm active in, but so far limited funds for some have made it a challenge to find someone who will commit.
