Buy your airline ticket more than three months before departure or 3-4 days before departure.

Hi Sunny,
I would be a good idea to check now and see how the fares are. It is a gamble, but when you find them at a price you can handle, go for it. Be ready, they do change almost daily.

Doesn't have to be next Wed., but I'm told Wed is the best day to shop for air prices.

There is something about just before or after midnight (in the airlines timezone). I don't remember the specifics but Peter Greenberg was promoting that as the best time, in combination with Wednesday.

Shopping for air travel can be both confusing and frustrating. Apart from this airline ticket prices change frequently. As I know and according to my research cheapest day to fly is Wednesday for domestic travel Wednesday is one of the three cheapest days, the others are Tuesday and Saturday.
