Don't know if it got any TV time in the US but we have had a massive weekend of celebration of the Queen's 60 years, not a great Royalist myself but it's been a good party!!
The three Cunard Queens arrived early this morning as part of the celebrations, guided in by fire boats with water displays & a flotilla of small boats, the first time they have all been together in Southampton. We have a display by the RAF "Red arrows" a big firework display then all sail in convoy, we are on QM2 for this event!!

John,

I know it was a fun time and I wish had been able to see it. I remember the Queen's Silver Jubilee. I still have numerous tea cups, plates and other "collectibles" that my mom purchased when she went back during that time. I also have more Charles and Diana "stuff" that I need to give to my sister.

I am not a huge Royal fan but I do realize that it is a part of culture and it should be preserved and celebrated.

Take care,
Mike

John, I just watched snippets of the concert, and other celebrations, across the pond, and heard the sad news about Prince Philip, being hospitlized. Hope he is well soon..sounds like Sunday in the rain, did him in.

You guys sure know how to throw a party..congrats..I love diamonds.

My youngest child went to college in England for awhile and loved everything about the country . Her boyfriend at the time worked in the only Irish bar in London .
