Thanks but I am going to look for a place that has 100% cruise or travel stuff . This is not for me . I last debated politics in '62 .

I'm sorry Lucky Guy. You're not the only one put off by the politics. Unfortunately, the big cheese seems to like politics better than jokes and games. Maybe he'll come to his senses after the election. The board is not always like this. Please stay with us. We actually are a nice bunch and we do talk cruising. Where are you thinking about going?

Hey Gang,
Happy Wine Down Wednesday - Indian Summer is upon us. Temps should hit 80 today.

The DD has an interview today, happy for her though she is not particularly excited about the position. I think the only reason she won't get the job is if they decide she is over qualified.

I'm an old guy too. I retired 7 years ago and didn't even know about the open debate forum but I can assure you I won't go there.

I don't post as much on this board as I used to especially during football season because I spend more time on the football forums but I still pop in here to keep up with the gang. This is the place I come to when I need news about the cruising industry.

We ( the Last Gang ) have taken quite a few cruises on different cruiselines, so we can be a good source of information to anyone interested in cruising.

I too don't know about an open debate area here. However I visit this wonderful thread only. Just don't have the time anymore to sit at the computer and read/post on threads. I did however post some questions on the Carnival board here but not all my questions were answered so I got all my questions answered over in that other cruise forum. It's so busy over there nothing goes unanswered.

Time to rush out the door!! It's going to be a loooong day.

DD said her interview went well but the company seemed to be a little unsure of what their opening is. They may move an internal resource and then hire to fill that position.

We are keeping an eye on Sandy. It's quite windy right now, but the brunt of the storm will probably by-pass us.
I'm more concerned with people in the northeast and I will stay in touch with my kids in Ct.

I will talk to LF soon and I will tell him that the Last Gang misses him.

Now I will be off to the Dr.

I did get a good report from the Dr. but he said that my arm will black and blue for a couple of months.

We are having strong sustained winds but no damage as of now. I spoke to my kids in Ct. and they all got their supplies and are ready for Sandy when she makes it up there.

I finished my story yeah. Thanks Manny for the final review.

I had a lot of fun writing it. Especially the exciting conclusion.

TM I hope you are doing okay. Did you get injured? I have had a lot of problems with this website it keeps tossing me on page 3 or page 708 and trapping me there so I can't see the most recent threads.

So I Thursday I had a sore throat and thought it was allergies. But as the day progressed it go worst and worst. Right now I'm good and sick. It's a bummer.

Nice to see the founder of this thread Thomas is back. I bet when he started with he didn't realize it was change and get a new name and everything. It will always be the last thread to me.

Sandy (aka Frankenstorm) is on it's way.....We are expecting to loose power sometime overnight or tomorrow. Power Company says to expect to be without power for a week or more....

I Lost my step off a curb and injured an arm and a leg. My right forearm is all black and blue and I have a wound just below the knee. I still have some pain but nothing is broken so it will heal.

I wish you a quick recovery from your illness.

Good Morning Gang,

CQ & TM's Family (and Lakers Fan if you can lurk) batten down the hatches up there. Today is the DW's 29th birthday again. I'm going to scoot off and get some pecan rolls for breakfast.

We are starting to look at a February cruise. May be the first time we have ever been stacked.

Also starting to cast our eyes to the Eastern coast of the Adriatic for a land vacation. Yes, CQ I think Croatia may be calling. The planning horizon is a little fuzzy right now but I think red and white check is somewhere on it.
