Default Cove Balconies

Has anyone stayed in a cove balcony cabin on Magic, Dream, or the Breeze? How was it? I am looking at booking one for the Breeze next year and am wondering if being on deck 2 there is much noise. I think being that close to the water will be cool but know that most of the ships galleys and operations run close by. Thanks for you input.

Hi Toby, we've stayed in the Cove Balconies several times. The best thing I can tell you is to NOT book any cabin under the Galley. We were in cabin 2414 on the Dream and it was so noisy that we got some OBC even though we didn't "officially" complain! They are well aware of the problem.

We also had a Cove Balcony on the Magic. It was under the Shore Excursion desk and was relatively quiet.

The only noise problems we've had with Carnival (besides on the Dream) have been due to the vent that's cut into the bottom of the cabin door. It allows any noise in the area to come into the cabin. We've never had this problem on NCL or Princess, but their door's are solid.

Thanks for your help. The galley noise was the one thing I was wondering about. We went on the Behind The Fun tour on Fascination and the whole of deck 3 I think was noisy on the tour.
Thanks again for your help.
