Default Cruise Wedding!!

Has anyone gotten married on a Carnival cruise before? I'm planning my wedding on Carnival Victory in October 2013. My husband and I were married in 2008 at the courthouse. I always wanted to have a dream wedding so five years later we will renew our vows on the cruise. We are very excited for the cruise and the wedding. Tis will be our second cruise but first time for kids who or too excited! Any advice is more than welcomed!!

I don't have any advice except to say congratulations. A cruise is a very romantic way to celebrate a relationship.

I guess if I can recommend anything it is that you do your research first - I don't know how much you have planned but whatever it is check & double-check.

Do you have a wedding planner, or is this something you are doing on your own.

You really should talk with an agent and have them provide all the information and make all the arrangements for you. Alot of things can go wrong, plus there's no reason you should be putting yourself through all the hassle and stress. Let them do the work for you so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Keep in mind that Carnival only allows weddings to take place in certain ports, whereas other cruise lines provide weddings at sea. (Something to think about as another option.)

But weddings onboard a cruise are wonderful!! No matter what you decide, I know you'll have an awesome celebration and congratulations!!

We booked our wedding this summer past for November 2nd, 2013 on Carnival Dream. We have a mess of emails still to go through from Carnival but we are looking forward to it. This will be our 6th cruise and we have 7 balcony rooms booked in row for our family on deck 9.

Start here:

If you have any specefic questions I will try to answer them for you based on what we have learned so far.

In this case it is a renewal of vows they are interested in.

If it's a ceremony on land, even for a first wedding, I don't imagine that Carnival would have any say, if the ceremony was arranged privately.
