Hi, I am looking for a hotel in the Miami area close to the airport with free
parking for 7 days. All I have found so far is the Baymont Inn west / Doral
the parking is free but taxi ride is $45.00 each way. I don't really care for shuttles had a bad experience a couple of times. Please let me know if there is anything closer to the Port of Miami. Thanks Ed
You might want to check out LaQuinta Hotel-305-871-1777, With a one night stay, you can park free for 7 days, with a one way free shuttle to the port, that you could use, or not... Call the hotel directly. Hope this might help.

Here is a great place I stayed when I went on Carnival Liberty. It was fairly reasonable. The parking was free for up to 30 days. The lot was right there near the front door. Not a remote lot where the cars are unattended. They have a shuttle that was $10.00 per person. Shuttle only took you to the port. Have to get a taxi back it was about $14.00. The rooms were clean and had a kitchenette. There is no restaurant in the hotel but easy walking distance to an Italian restaurant. There were also vending machines with snacks, sort of pricey. Better choices walking over to the Walgreens. Good pastries in the morning. I was a woman alone and I did not feel unsafe walking after dark in the near neighborhood. Quiet there and the traffic was minimal.

Coconut Grove can be a nice option too. There are more options to eat and enjoy South Florida than the airport area and still a $20-cab ride to the POM. I stayed at the Hampton Inn Coconut Grove (www.hamptoninncoconutgrove.com) that has a 7-night free parking, breakfast included and free Wi-Fi.
