Hello all,
Well the wife and I have tried 2 different cruiselines since our last Carnival cruise and yes we are coming back to Carnival. Not that the cruises were bad for any particular reason, but they didn't compare to our first 5 Carnival cruises. The little things do add up when you start missing them. (24 hour ice cream) (24 hour pizza) (Room cleaned every time you walk out) (20 hours of activities daily) (Lounges open to the wee hours) (You know THE FUN SHIP) We are already booked for early next year on the Fantasy from New Orleans. Glad to be back.
Welcome back to Carnival. I know what you mean, about 13 years ago, my husband and I sailed another cruise line and then Carnival, and there is no comparison. We just love Carnival.
Ah yes ! the Carnival pizza. Best anywhere on sea. I used to have a Carnival tradition-the first meal was pizza and a Fosters oil can (they were only 50 cents more than a normal beer). They have wised up since then as to pricing.

Hurray for the drink of the day! I've been back to work for a week now, and every day about 3 I start to crave a fruity rum drink. I wish I could have found a place to stow-away!
I know what you mean we booked Alaska cruise on Celebrity and we were disappointed cause we missed the 20 hours of activities daily. Celebrity is more a laid back and relax vacation (which there is nothing wrong with), but we are going out and be busy vacation. We want an experience. So Celebrity doesn't suit us for this reason.

We too left Carnival for a number of years, but have started sailing her again in the last year or so. (5 Carnival cruises last year, and 2 allready this year with 2 more booked) Carnival has made a dramatic turn around IMO, and it's all for the best. Where else can you get all the things you mentioned , and get them for a much better price than the other lines? Hooray for Carnival. I'm aboard for the long term!
