Ships Cruising Side-by-Side

When we cruised to the Bahamas last April, we noticed the lights of another cruise ship travelling paralell to us in the distance. She was close enough for us to see clearly, but not so close that we could see any passengers. For those in our party who were a little scared to be "out there in that big ocean all alone", it was very comforting to know that another ship was close by if we needed help.

This April, we are sailing on the Inspiration out of Tampa to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Does anyone know if there are other ships that might be sailing on the same schedule from out of Tampa? Our scaredy-cat traveller would be relived to know that there is help nearby.

Carnival usually has two ships departing within days of each other and are both floating around out there! When we were in Cozumel on the Inspiration in January, I think it was the Fascination that berthed up right next to us pretty quickly, left right before us........Royal Caribbean had one there at the same time. You can check the itineraries on the web at www.carnival.com or just call them..........ask them if they have another ship that will be out there with you.
