I am going to be driving down from Northern California to catch a ship in L.A. on Jan. 5,2003. How is the parking? How much does it cost? Do you pay up front or when you return from the ship? Do they accept credit cards?
Parking is secured, right next to the terminal. I can't remember exactly what it costs, I think it was something like $63.00 for the week, and you pay when you return. Not sure if they accept credit cards.
We parked for a week in May, the cost was $80. Cash, at the end of the cruise, No credit card was accepted.

A disagreement here ... we just left from there in January and February, and we paid ahead of time. Cost was about $60 for the week. Think it's $10 a day for shorter trips. CASH only. Very secure parking (we took a convertible)
And you can find more info online ... just search World Cruise Center or Port of Los Angeles (even though it's San Pedro)
Re: Re: Re: Parking at Cruise Ship Terminal in L.A.
I was just down there too, and I think it was 10 per day, and we paid at the end. I don't think I used a card though. Just keep on your toes when getting into the parking lot. The signs are not very good. I made the drive from N Ca also, and I can say leave extra time to get through LA. We hit traffic at 1pm with a long way to go to long beach.

We're also from N. Cal. We drove down the day before & stayed in a hotel near the pier where we could leave our car. It was a little more expensive, but a lot easier. And the hotel will take you to the pier.
